We collect only what we need to make your plans and run the service.
What we collect
- Your answers and project data: the questions you answer and the concepts we build.
- Yard photos: stored privately for your account. We remove location data (EXIF/GPS) from every photo when it is uploaded, and shrink it.
- Account: your email address, and the sign-in method (Google or email link). We never see a Google password.
- Purchases: Paddle handles payment and keeps your card details. We keep the order, the credits and the confirmation you gave before unlocking, with the time, a shortened network address and your browser type, to prove what you agreed to.
- Downloads: when you download a file we log the time, file name and a shortened network address.
- Usage: basic product analytics (PostHog) such as which pages and buttons are used. Not your photos.
- Email: if you ask us to email your preview or notify you of the launch.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run the product: Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Paddle (payments), Resend (email), PostHog (analytics), and AI providers (Anthropic and Google) that read your answers, write instruction text and make the yard picture. When we make a yard picture, your yard photo and a 3D render are sent to the image provider. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep your projects while your account exists. Purchase and consent records are kept as long as the law and payment disputes require. Write to info@diybackyardplans.com to see, export or delete your data.
Your choices
You can delete a project at any time. You can ask us to delete your account. Preview visitors without an account are given an anonymous session so their preview can be saved.
